Vasant Panchami-Saraswati Puja: Vasant Panchami is devoted to Maa Saraswati, the Goddess of wisdom, music, arts, science & technology. This day is also known as Shri Panchami or Saraswati Panchami. A special pooja is performed to Goddess Saraswati on this day by parents or students. Most of them also perform Aksharabhyasam (beginning of learning) on this auspicious day. This day is observed on Panchami tithi of Magh month.
Ratha Saptami Pooja: Ratha Saptami Pooja is devoted to Lord Surya and is celebrated on Shukla Paksha Saptami. It is acknowledged that Lord Surya Dev began enlightening the whole world on Saptami day, which was believed as the birth tithi of God Surya. Worshipping him on this will make individuals prosper and eliminate all types of sins.
Bhishma Ekadasi: Bhishma Ekadashi is one of the most auspicious days devoted in the month of Magh on Ekadashi tithi. It is honoured to mark the origin of the most powerful and renowned Sri Vishnu Sahasranaama Sthothram. On this day, Bhishma conveyed the greatness of Lord Krishna through Sri Vishnu Sahsranaama to Yudhishtira, the eldest of Pandavas.
Maha Shivaratri Festival: Maha Shivaratri Festival is the most significant event devoted to Lord Shiva in the month of the Magh. According to Hindus, it is also called the "Great Night of Shiva," Shiva Puja is performed in the night by devotees by observing fast all day long
Sri Madhwa Navami: Shri Madhvacharya was born near Udupi, Karnataka, India. He was the supporter of Dvaita Vedanta, which narrates Brahman and individuals are separate entities and eternals. Hence, this philosophy is based on dualism, which contradicts Advaita Vedanta and Vishishta Advaita Vedanta. This philosophy is also known as Tattvavada, according to Hindu mythic texts. Sri Madhwa Navami is devoted to Navami Tithi in the month of the Magh, in which Shri Madhvacharya proceeded to Badri, Which is also called disappearance day.
